Through this awesome trip we learned a lot about one another. Joined the Navajo Nation by marriage. My new Navajo name is "Breaking Wind" Kevin's is "Whispering Wind".  We are very good at turning around and making U-turns at the next "legal" spot. and we also have found that Siri is a little bit of a nagging bitty with all of her recalculating crap. The toll road in Colorado that we could not find a place to pay at, was not free after all. We got a bill in the mail for our tolls. Cross your fingers so far we have not gotten any tickets in the mail for running red lights or speeding. We harvested many rocks and some petrified wood. Kevin got to see a snow capped mountain. He also got to learn the pros and cons of bed choices. ( In front of the AC Unit or not).  One of our biggest take aways is we learned we can still pick on and aggravate our loved ones even if we are 1000 miles away.

Homeward Bound

Monument Valley, UT

Many movies have been filmed here.  Lots of John Wayne Westerns.

View from outside our lodging at the San Juan Inn.

and on the road again

We believe the aliens made this rock formation

Gooseneck State Park just outside of Mexican Hat, UT.  The water running through the gorge is the San Juan River.

Colorado

After Denver Colorado This state was flat as a pancake and super boring.  No additional pics were taken the rest of the trip home.  I'm sure we could've found some cool stuff if we tried, but at this point in the game we were all about getting some pavement behind us and getting home.
